Mrs. Charles was a member of Bethel A.M.E. Church since HER EARLY CHILDHOOD YEARS. SHE GRADUATED FROM HAINES Institute in Augusta, Georgia. After graduation, she married C. A. Reid, Sr., and to this union was born a son, C. A. Reid, J r. Edwina later moved to New York City, a n d married Simon Charles. She lived in New York for thirty-six years, before RELOCATING TO PENSACOLA, FLORIDA. AFTER HER HUSBAND passed, Edwina moved back to Augusta, Georgia, where SHE BEGAN WORKING WITH HER SON AT C. A. REID, SR. MEMORIAL Funeral Home. She leaves to cherish her memories: a daughter-in-law; AND A HOST OF GRANDCHILDREN, OTHER RELATIVES AND FRIENDS. Special thanks to her caretaker and Bethel A.M.E.
