Bush ~ (803) 221-4467 Obituary Emmaline "Baby" Walters Bush was the eldest child bom to the late Elijah Walters and Mozella Rountree Walters on October 19, 1921 in Jackson, South Carolina. Emmaline was married to the late Cleveland Bush Sr. in 1941. Emmaline entered into eternal peace on February 27, 2014 at University Hospital in Augusta, Georgia. She was preceded in death by four children; David Bush, Elijah Bush Sr., Cleveland Bush Jr., and Emma Perry. She was the pillar of her family and her love for family was strong, and her faith in God was even stronger. All who knew Emmaline loved her. Emmaline was loved throughout the community. She was the matriarch of the family and always believed that family came first. She enjoyed family gatherings, gospel music, and politics. She loved the Lord and she loved attending church whenever her health would allow. She was an inspiration to all that knew her. She lived through 16 Presidents, the walk of Martin Luther King Jr., to the second election of President Barack Obama. Emmaline wrote her own obituary. Words cannot express the phenomenal woman that she was. Emmaline leaves to cherish her memories and her legacy: two daughters, Louvenia (George Leroy) Bush Mathews and Deborah A. Bush, both of North Augusta and three sons, Wyman (Clementine) Bush and Gus (Shirley Ann) Bush both of Covington, GA, and Alphonzo C. Bush, Aurora, CO, twenty grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. Also left to cherish her memories are her loving in-laws, Francener Bush, Louis (Janie) Bush, Clarence (Mary) Bush, Andrew Bush, Sr., Bettie Bush, Elmo Bush, Wileva Bush, Thelma Brown, Finace (Ollie) Bush, Sr., Lillie (Charles) Jeffries, Marcellus (Annie Mae) Bush, Eldora Williams, Leon (Barbara) Bush, and a host of nephews, nieces, extended family, and friends. In honor of her love of hats, the ladies of the families will recognize her today by wearing the hats that she cherished the most.
