FUNERAL SERVICES for MR. WALTER BLANCHARD, JR. Saturday, December 28, 1985 3:00 P.M. ANTIOCH BAPTIST CHURCH ******** Rev. R. E. Donaldson, Officiating ** OBITUARY ** Mr. Walter E. Blanchard, Jr. was bom June 30,1920 in Richmond County, Georgia to the late Mr. and Mrs. Walter E. Blanchard, Sr. At an early age he was converted and baptized and joined the Antioch Baptist Church, and later joined the Board of Trustees. He served faithfully until his death. He was married to the late Myrtis Coleman Blanchard, and to this union two children were born of which one preceeded him in death. He was a retired postal Service Worker. He retired after 36 years of service. He was a graduate of South Carolina State University; he also graduated from the Atlanta College of Mortuary Science in 1949. He was a member of the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, the Augusta Chapter which he helped to organize. He was the Embalmer for Peoples Funeral Home for more than thirty years. He departed this life on December 24,1985 at his residence. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Faye Askew; two granddaughters, Amber Renee Askew and Francina Jasmine Askew; two aunts, Mrs. Eva Mae Williams and Mrs. Allie B. Jones; one uncle, Mr. Hosey Bentley, all of Augusta, Georgia; a host of cousins and other relatives and friends. ** PROGRAM ** PRESIDING .........................Rev.
