He united with the New Salem (Baptist Church and served under (pastor (R^ L. (Reynolds. 
He married the [ate Sarah Lizzie (Blacfcwell in Octo6erofl938 and to this union nine children were Born. Two children, flndrewLee (Bfac^mon andWilma (Ross, and five Brothers preceded him in death. 
He [eaves to cherish his memories four daughters, Clara Lee Jackson of Houston, Texas; (Bernice (Blackmon and Mary (Bfacfimon of (Brooklyn, New Ofbr^- Kathryn (Roberts ofSiloam, Qeorgia; three sons, (Bitty (BCacfcmon of Atlanta, Qeorgia; Charlie (Blac^mon of (Brooklyn, New Yor^and falter (Rlackrnon ofVnion (Point, (jeorgia; one daughter-in-law, (Bar6ara(B[ackmon;oneson-in-[aw, Kevin (RpBerts; two Brothers, James (Rouse andSpurgeon (Rouse of flugusta, Cfeorgia; two sisters, Jessie LanierandNora (Pope of flugusta, Qeorgia; 23 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-greatgrandchitdren.
