Rev. James Wright, Sr., Pastor Officiating Obituary Marion Bennett, the son of the late Thomas Robinson and Sarah Bennett Robinson was born February 7, 1935 in Greene County, Georgia. Very suddenly on Tuesday, June 1, 2004, Marion went home to be with the Lord. Marion was a avid fisherman and always shared his catch with family and friends. He loved working his garden. Marion enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and will surely be missed by all who knew him. He was a member of Springfield Baptist Church. He was employed with the City of North Augusta for 20 years. He leaves to cherish his memories, a son Minister Ricky (Shirell) Bennett and a daughter Celestine (James) Roberts, both of Augusta, Ga., 14 grandchildren, one aunt Mrs. Cora Lee Smith, Union Point, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends POEM Dont waste your hours in grieving, no need to feel distress. I am tired of lifes frustrations, I had to get some rest. Dont vex yourself with questions, or try to reason why. Life for me has ended, it came my time to die. Dont lose the love I gave you, feed it with your care, Grow it with devotion and spread it everywhere. Don tfret because my leaving came in such a way, We will have another meeting.
