Archie was born January 12, 1910 in Shelby, North Carolina to the late Mr. Alonzo and Mrs. Emma Byers. At an early age, she joined the Fairview A.M.E. Zion Church. Upon moving to Augusta, Georgia, she united with the Bethel A.M.E. Church where she served faithfully until her passing. She was a member of Class No. 1. She was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Mr. Robert Archie. She departed this life on Saturday, May 28, 1994 at the University Hospital. Survivors are: one sister, Mrs. Twilla Long, Spartanburg, South Carolina; three sisters-in-law; four dear friends, Mrs. Carrie Allison and Mrs. Lucy Ann Oatman, Mrs. Mary 0.
