Mrs Rebecca Dinkins Adams of Route 1, Box 131, Hopkins, SC, the daughter of the late Moses and Annie Dinkins, was born in Sumter County9 South Carolina, January 5, 1896 She passed at her home unexpectedly October 14, 1980 at 8; 45 a0m.
In her early life, she connected herself with the Allen Chapel AME9 Sumter9 South Carolina, She joined Zion Benevolent Baptist Church where she remained a faithful and active member until the decline of her health She was an avid Christian who9 although less emotional than some, lived a life that was full of God and Love
She was united in Holy Matrimony to Mr John Adams9 Jr in 1914 who preceded her in death To this union9 13 children were born--12 of which survive
She leaves to mourn her departure 4 sons""Harry Adams of Detroit9 Michigan, John Charles Adams of Gadsden, Moses Adams of Eastover and Leroy Adams of Hopkins; 8 daughters Flossie Harris of Detroit, Michigan,, Francenia Weston of Gadsden, Florence Faust of Denmark, SC9 Jessie Walker of Philadelphias, Pennsylvania, Sally Leach of Tallahassee, Florida, Marie Grafton of Bronx, NY, Hattie Bell Bookert of Columbia, SC9 and Minnie Williams of Rochester, NY; 38 grandchildren9 15 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of sorrowing relatives and friends
