" She saw a hand we could not see, that Beckoned her away . . . MRS. RUBY LEE BOSKET ABNEY, a daughter of the late Dandy and Ida Perry Bosket, was born in Saluda County, SC, on October 9, 1927. Peacefully she departed this life on Monday night, December 18, 1989, at her home after a long illness. At an early age she joined the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Later in life she united with the Mount Moses CME Church where she was a faithful member until declining health. She was also a member of the Women's Aide Society. She was united in Holy Wedlock to Mr. John D. Abney. She was a former employee of Henry's Cleaner. We deplore our loved one going home, but we feel confident that it was the will of God who doeth all things well. The family bows in humble submission to the Father above with the assurance that we shall meet on that beautiful shore. Pleasant memories will linger in the hearts of her husband, Mr. John D. Humbly Submitted, The Family Poem O dear Mother, we weep so in pain, But faith and courage you have taught us to maintain. We weep no more, because we know you're not alone. God has taken you into his Heavenly home. This bond that we share will never, ever part, Because, Mother, you remain in our thoughts and our hearts.
