Luke approves of what Ben is paying performers and enthusiastically urges him to book the singers that he hired. He further advises Ben to persevere with boxing matches, noting that the Jacksonville matches produced $300 to $500 before fighters started framing matches. Luke counsels his brother that a series of good fights will draw patronage. He mentions that he is sending Ben paper and slides of films that he has shown and directs Ben to make a record of what he has in stock so that when he orders paper he will know what he already has.
