Luke warns that it is not a good idea to put up heralds every day because they will lose their advertising power if they are not reserved for announcing special events. He adds that having the dates printed costs too much. Luke notes that Douglass pays $60.00 rent and that the amount and dates should be on the cover of one of the copy books. He directs Ben to write to the Film Board of Trade in Atlanta and ask them if there will be any protection on second run. In response to Ben's concern that another theater is playing The Fire Fighters, Luke advises him to write to the Atlanta Film Board of Trade to ask if there is protection on second run films. He remarks that the protection period is probably thirty days and that Ben should send a bill to the film company for damages. Luke advises that the film company will have to pay for not abiding by their contract and asks Ben to let him know the outcome. He directs Ben to keep records of films played by the other theatre. Luke complains about the heat and asks his brother to report his results from the prize fight. The ten-episode silent serial The Fire Fighters was released in January of 1927 and starred Jack Daugherty, Helen Ferguson, Wilbur McGaugh, and Lafe McKee. It is presumed lost.
