Jordan recounts hearing that Smith and Douglass (probably Charles Henry Douglass, Jr., owner of the Douglass Theatre) are interested in purchasing an organ. He advises that W. A. Odom of the Palace Theatre in Thomaston, Georgia has one that he would sell. Jordan recommends that Smith take a look at the instrument and conveys the asking price of eight hundred to nine hundred dollars.
