The letter responds to Stein's proposal of terms under which a boxing match at the Douglass Theatre might take place (see dbr002 of the Douglass Theatre Web site). Jennings tells Stein that the terms he has proposed for the match, wherein they split the profits evenly, are unfair, as Jennings must also pay for the transportation of his fighters and for advertising the fight. He proposes a different arrangement, wherein Stein would give thirty percent to Jennings for Texas Tanner and would pay the rest of the fighters out of the remaining seventy percent. Jennings asks for a new contract, advising that Tanner has three open dates.</dc:description><dc:description>Digital image and encoded transcription of an original manuscript, scanned, transcribed and encoded by the Digital Library of Georgia in 2005, as part of Georgia HomePLACE.
