Page: [1] Sherman Colo. [Colorado] July 25th 1881 Wier [Wier] Boyd Esq. [Esquire] Dear Sir Yours of the 18th is just recd [received] I should prefer N. Y. [New York] Draft if you can get it as it would cost less to send the money in that way than by money orders but if you cannot get this you can send money order payable at Lake City Colo. [Colorado] which is a money order office. Sherman is not. Lake City is a place of 2000 to 3000 inhabitants about 16 mls [miles] from here where I often go & sometimes get my mail. Hoping to hear from you soon I remain Yours Truly [Signed] W. S. Hungerford. [added text: P.S. I think you can have money order made payable at Lake City & send it to me at Sherman which I prefer but would get it if addressed to Lake City.]
