Page: [1] Columbus . Feb. [February] 15 /68. Col [Colonel] Wier [Wier] Boyd. Dahlonega Dear Sir. I am in receipt of your favor 10th inst. [instant] I am much pleased to hear the trade is closed, & hope by this time the papers have come to hand to confirm it. Mr. Peck wrote & asked me for a proposition for his share & I have today made him one. -- I am surprised that you have had such bad weather -- it has been fine with us.; & very little cold weather -- I trust you are feeling better than when you wrote. I think you answered all my numerous questions except as to Charlie Besser, if he could take us to board. I hope you will spur Mr. Williams up & get his note paid by last of March -- He needs frequent pushing & dunning -- this is my experience of him -- With Kind regards I am ever Yours truly [Signed] Amory Dexter.
