Dexter warns Boyd not to sell the option to mine the "Amory mineral right" to Dr. Vandyke for the low price he has offered. The land was leased to the Yahoola Mining Company prior to the Civil War. He advises that Nathan H. Hand will risk paying to mine before testing. Dexter adds that he is not personally interested in getting a good price for the lease of the land, but is asking as a favor to Mrs. Austin, who is educating her children in a foreign country. He sends regards to Dr. Vandyke and his son and affirms he will relay Boyd's letter to Mr. Wainwright in Boston.</dc:description><dc:description>A project of the Digital Library of Georgia in association with the Lumpkin County Library, Chestatee Regional Library System as part of Georgia HomePLACE.
