[November] 12th Dear Sirs, You will confer a particular favor on me as well as on the community by obtaining a Simple Charter of Incorporation for the Dahlonega Gold Company. It has become disorganized by one half the stock being held in the North and now under sequestration As soon as it is sold I want to work it. I will send you the blank Charter in a few days. Your families are well -- Mr. M. Sitton is not improving but Ben. who is here is gaining rapidly -- The Negro Boy you sent up has had an attack of Typhoid pneumonia but is nearly well -- [unclear text: Jes] Quillian has arrived not verry [very] well -- Miller Huff has got back -- has been prisoner & paroled -- We are canvassing the county to keep stills down and raise clothes for the soldiers Page: [2] but owing to the difficulty in getting wool it will be impossible to make them as comfortable as we could wish. write me when you have leisure, and I will be pleased. to know how your healthe [health] improves. -- give my respects to my freinds [friends] and accept of our prayers for your welfare.
