This section of the ledger/scrapbook consists primarily of newspaper clippings dating from the 1870s to the 1890s from Savannah, Georgia newspapers, including popular poetry, illustrations, and newspaper articles related to love, death, murder trials, funerals, and topics surrounding bereavement. These clippings are pasted over earlier ledger entries that date from 1860 to 1864, during the Civil War period.
