Description:
Photographs and text from Women of Armstrong display (2007.) From Janet Stone's text: When Anne Hudson arrived to teach math at Armstrong in 1971, she was probably the first woman on the faculty with a Ph.D. Armstrong had many women faculty members with advanced degrees appropriate to teacher education, nursing, and dental hygiene, and many women with Master's degrees in other Arts and Sciences fields; but women with a Ph. D. were still rare on campus. Anne opened that door and walked through it in the low-key, casual manner that typified her style throughout the next twenty-six years of her Armstrong career.
