Photographs and text from Women of Armstrong display (2007.) From Janet Stone's text: Among the female students in the class of 1939 was Phyllis A. Kravitch. Her yearbook caption identified her interests in the college newspaper (The Inkwell), the French club, theatre production ("Good News"), and her academic ability as a Dean's List student. In this description, she resembled many of her classmates. But after her Armstrong days, she followed a path that took her into a distinguished legal career and ultimately to a judgeship on the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.
