Jennings, a saxophonist, worked at the Neighborhood Arts Center from February 1976 until September 1978 when he left to teach music at Morehouse College in Atlanta. In the early 1970s Jennings and Howard Nicholson formed the Life Force jazz band in order to perform original work and jazz classics.
