Nesbitt, Jr. 0 fficia ting ~ ~ Mother Essie Bowens Willis was one of ten children born to the late Alfred and Elon Green on May 18, 1921. Mother Essie was educated in the public school system of Atlanta. She worked twenty-three years at Lee Products Company. She joined Providence Baptist Church at a very early age. She was a member of the choir and later a member of the Mothers board. She was preceded in death by her father and mother; two :r husbands, Mr. George Bowens, Sr. and Mr. Clifford Willis Sr.; he sister, Mrs. Octavia Lyons; six brothers: Earnest, J.C., Estee, Zebedee, Alton and Dorsey Green; one son, Mr. James Bowens; ' } n"C" Hstepson, Mr. Clifford Willis, Jr.; one son-in-law, James _Jollier; two sisters-in-law: Mrs. Daisy Swan and Mrs. Lois Allen; one brother-in-law, Mr. J.W. Bowens. ' .. She leaves to cherish her memory: four children: Mrs. Juanita Culpepper (Ralph), Mrs. Betty Collier, Mr. George Bowens, Jr. (Faye) and Mr. Charles Bowens (Patricia); two sisters: Mrs. Elnora Spear and Mrs. Edna Dinkins Oessie); two daughters-in- law: Mrs. Betty Bowens and Mrs. Annette Willis; fifteen grandchildren; thirty-two great-grandchildren; thirty-two great-great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
