I met Wesley many years ago, but only just got the chance to truly discover his character while working with him these past 6 months. He grew to be such an important part of this team as each one of us depended on him greatly. Not only did I discover that he was the messy glue that kept us lifted, laughing, but that he, like most of us, felt that this place and its people were his family. Yesterday was a shock to us all, and I'm sure each of you had a moment where you took the time to reflect. I personally found myself on the roof and had to acknowledge Wesley's passing, while I was up. there. I stood there and closed my eyes, and just felt. Felt the struggle this crew was going to have to go through to move forward without him. Felt sympathy for his family, and their heart break. Felt the hole this place was going to have without him around. As we take the time to celebrate Wesley's life, remember the parts he okayed in yours. Be it funny moment shared laughing about nothing, or when he pushed you further than you thought he should because he believed in you, or even when he upset you by not doing things "your way." Because of each of those moments, all of those memories are a part he shared in our life, and in a tiny way he helped you become the person you are today. Thank you, Wesley, for your dedication, patience, and loyalty to this family. You are loved and will be missed, so much. ~From a Co-wqrker of the Crowne Plaza Family ........,_ , mu.f.efo !11iienda!Jll6 Family & Friends @f;JI6e.arer..-J Family & Friends !M/;1walec(feme1tliJ The family of Wesley White, Jr. wishes to acknowledge with love, sincere gratitude and appreciation the prayers, calls, visits and kindness shown to us all. He was the fourth of six children and the only boy born to this union. Two sisters, Connie V. White and Anngi R. White preceded Wesley in death. On March 26, 2014, Wesley made his transition to join the angels and Our Lord. Wesley attended school in Fulton County and graduated from Russell High School in 1971. Shortly after graduating from high school, Wesley decided to enlist in the Marine Corp for active duty and then the Reserves after his tour of duty. He left the Marine Corp with the title of Staff Sergeant. Shortly after he returned from the service, he married Brenda Welch and from this union two children were born, Wesley III and Bianca Corine. After completing his tour of duty, Wesley was employed with Johnson Battery Company, where he worked for 15 years. When the company closed, he secured a job with the Holiday Inn and later transferred to the Crowne Plaza Hotel on Virginia Avenue in College Park, Georgia. Wesley was a hard worker and very well liked by his co-workers. Throughout his career, he continued to go to school and learn more about his interests. Whether it was electronics, accounting or taxes, Wesley pursued different classes to gain more knowledge to excel until he eventually worked his way to being an engineer. His employment with the hospitality industry spanned over 16 years. Wesley leaves to cherish his memory, love and affection: a son, Wesley III (Shalom); a daughter, Bianca Corine; one grandchild, Wesley Yeshua; three sisters, Nevador White Price, Linda Elaine White and Rita White Lyons; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members; the White, Byrd and Young families along with a multitude of friends. Psalm 23 The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths ofrighteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley ofthe shadow ofdeath, I willfear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staffthey comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence ofmine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days ofmy life: and I will dwell in the house ofthe LORD for ever. The Reverend Chekibe C. Holman Pastor, New Grant Chapel A.ME.
