As a beloved father, grandfather, great-grand father, brother, uncle and cousin, his family as well as his friends realize that while he is no longer with us, his memory and spirit will live on forever. James Wells was born August 6, 1944 to loving parents, the late Madeline Wells and the late Raymond Wells, Sr. in Bartow County, Georgia. James joined New Shiloh at an early age. Two live were joined in holy matrimony when James Wells and Louise Barton exchanged wedding vows on August 31, 1965. Together they were dedicated to and blessed with six loving children. Mr. James Lewis Wells worked - for the .. Bartow County Sheriff Department under three different Sheriffs, Jim Wheeler, Buddy Bell and Don Thurman. After leaving the Sheriff Department, James continued working for the County School System. The following ten years he was employed by Shaw Industry. James Lewis Wells was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond, Sr. and Madeline Wells; his sister, Jadeline Chapman, and brother, Donnie Wells. To stand in the after glow of his life, still warm by his memory are: his wife, Hattie Louise Wells; six children, Carroll Taylor, Powder Springs, GA, Kimberly Wells, Donnie (Rebecca) Wells, Sonya, Andrea and Carlos Wells all of Cartersville, GA; one god-daughter, Amanda Patterson of Paulding County; two brothers, Raymond, Jr. (Daisy) Wells, Perry (Malinda) Wells of Kingston, GA; two sisters, Mrs. Mary McMillian (Moses) of Rome, GA and Robin Ellis; two uncles, Thurston Wells and Harold Wise, Sr. of Kingston, GA; twenty grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; seven sisters in-law, and a host of nieces and nephews, friends and relatives; special friend and cousin, Mrs. Frances Lee, and Lee Sheild Elliott, Thomas Zachery and John Wesley, Sr. 06it11ary - Processional Selection Scripture: Old Testament New Testament Prayer Obituary Selection Retnarks Solo Eulogy Recessional ~ . ..:!:...-....- New Shiloh Choir Rev.
