Aston Roy Ward Sr., was the second child of the late John Ward and Edith Jones Symonette, was born April 21,1923 in Kingston, Jamaica. A loving father, grandfather and great grandfather, Aston's faith in God was unwavering. 
He was a retired Civil Servant of the United States Army. Aston was the founder of I<iddie Kottage Academy, Inc. in College Park, Georgia. A loyal member of Ben Hill United Methodist Church, he went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, December 27, 2012. 
Aston \vas preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jean Ward, two sons, Aston Roy Ward, Jr. and Dexter Ward, one daughter-in-law, Sandra Jean Watson, his mother, Edith Jones Symonette, brother, Lester Ward and sister, Enid (May) Mangaroo. 
Those who cherish his memory include his son, Marvin L. Watson; his four daughters, Ronia Ward, Cynthia Ward, Sandra Ward (Ron Poag) and Michelle Ward; one daughter-in-law, Mignon Ward; one brother-in-law, Sydney Mangaroo; five grandchildren, Shamika Watson, Maleka Watson, Torrey Nelloms Ward (Nija Nelloms), Diego Ward and Fabian Ward (Linda Thepphasone); great-grand children and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and other relatives and friends.
