Proverbs 3 1:10, 26, 28 E lnora Elizabeth Corse Walker quiedy made her transition in the early morning hours on July 16, 2013. She was a Grady baby born in Adanta, Georgia on September 4, 1927, to the late Frank and Inez Gay Corse. She was the oldest of four children, a sister and brother, Marian and Frank Junior preceded her in death. Elnora was educated in the Adanta Public Schools System, where she graduated from Booker T. Washington High. Nurtured in a Christian home, Elnora accepted Christ as her personal savior. She joined Antioch Baptist Church, North and was baptized by the late Rev. T. H. George. Growing up loving to sing, she was a member of several choirs according to age groups, Number 3, Number 2 and the WMC. Being a high soprano she was often called to be a soloist or to lead songs. On August 28, 1948, she united in holy matrimony to Mr. Smith Walker, a marriage that lasted more than sixty four years. This union was blessed with three children, one of which, Michael, preceded her in death. After marriage, she joined her husband in uniting with Mount Ephraim Baptist Church under the pastorate of the Reverend Dr. R. L. White, Jr. She served on the R. L. White Usher Board and the Deaconess Board. Elnora was employed with the Rushton Company (doll factory) until her health declined. As a wife and mother, she had a devoted love for her family. She often hosted events and she loved family traveling. She once took a tour of the Wild-Wild-West with family and friends traveling through Tennessee, Arkansas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Arizona, California and Nevada. In 1980, she traveled to New York City and Adantic City, New Jersey where she celebrated her 30th Wedding Anniversary at the Sheraton Seaside Hotel. As late as 2010, she traveled with her daughter to the Holy Land Experience in Orlando, Florida. Her hobbies included singing, reading, crossword puzzles and reciting poetry. Those left to cherish her loving memory are son, Deacon and Mrs. Leo G. Walker (Sherilyn); daughter, Minister Shelia I. Walker; sister, Annie Jean Barner; five grandchildren, Geovanni Muhammad (Ali), Kodi Barber, Leo G.
