Fannie Lee Banks-Toombs was born in Stewart County, GA to Betty and Foy Banks. She joined the . church at an early age. She was a member of River Betha AME Church. She later married James Toombs in 1943. She joined Mt. Kethan Baptist Church, alorig 
- with her husband. After living in Atlanta for a while, 
she joined Israel Baptist Church. She leaves to mourn ... 
thirteen children, twenty-six grandchildren and twenty-one great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, cousins, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law; one sister, Bessie; one brother, Foy.
