Thomas 1908 1990 On an early Wednesday morning, July 24, 1990, so quiet and sweet the Lord called Mr. Mack Thomas to sleep. He entered this world on January 6, 1908 in Watkinsville, Ga. and was reared by the Late Mr. & Mrs. Wiley Thomas Sr. He was a 1954 graduate of the Booker T. Washington High Evening School. Mr. Thomas was married to the Late Mrs. Emma Kate Thomas, who preceded him in death March 21, 1990. They were blessed with five devoted daughters: Gloria, Catherine, Maxine, Jean and Dorothy. Mr. Thomas joined Turner Monumental A.M.E. Church more than fifty years ago. He was a member of Choir and the Male Chorus which he organized and sang in faithfully for many years. Mr. Thomas could be heard on Sunday mornings singing two of his favorite songs'' 0 1 d Sh i p o f Zion '' and '' Do e s J e s u s Ca r e ? '.' He also served on the TRustee Board and faithful until declining health. He retired from the Coca-Cola Bottling Co. in 196 8. He leaves to mourn his passing - Mr. and Mrs. William T. Jackson (Gloria), Mr. and Mrs. James W. Scott (Catherine), Mrs. Maxine Stovall, Mr. & Mrs. Willie Manning (Jean) and Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Sheffield (Dorothy); Eleven Grandchildren, 5 Great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great Grandchildren, Two Sistersin-law, Mrs. Essie Beadles and Mrs. Daisy Kelley, Cousin, Mrs. Eunice Britt, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
