Driver, Pastor Officiating hitmtr1l Mr. Jake Talley, the second child of two children, was born June 6, 1903 in Meriwether County, Georgia to the late Bob and Molly Talley. Sister Lizzie Black preceded him in death. He joined the Zion Hill Baptist Church at an early age and served faithfully on the Deacon Board as Chairman, Superintendent and Treasurer of the Sunday School. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge, Vice President of the Freeman-Aide Lodge and served as Janitorial for many years. On March 3, 1929, he was joined together in holy matrimony to Annie Mae Rosser and lived happily for seventy-one years, rearing two adopted children; one son preceded him in death . He leaves to cherish his memory, a devoted wife, Ms. Annie Mae Talley; one daughter, Emma Mae Tennie; eight grandchildren , Leonia Black, Jeannette Owens, Mr. and Mrs. Elbert Harris (Annette), Ms. Jessie Ruth Blount, Mr. and Mrs. James Hill (Foristene), Deborah Talley, Hazel C. Talley, and Mr. and Mrs. Rickey Hardaway (Sharion); two sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law, Mrs. Grace Ector, and Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Little (Rosie Lee) ; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, cousins, other relatives and friends.
