Timothy P.H.C. 708 McDonough Boulevard Atlanta, Georgia 30316 Reverend Carl Montfort, Officiating Mary Frances Kendrick Sims was born in Mountain View, Georgia on June 12, 1949 to the late Nellie Thomas and Earl Kendrick. Mary was the eldest of eleven children. Mary's prt'ma~ education was at Fountain Elementary, she later attended A Medical College, earning her Nursing Assistant certification. It is there where Mary developed her passion of helping others. Mary Frances, affectionately called "Mae Frances" by those who know her, was a fun, loving, free spirited, and "one of a kind" woman. She married Grady Sims at an early age and their marriage lasted thirty-eight years before his departure. Mary was afforded the opportunity to spend most of her years as a homemaker, but as time moved forward and her children grew older she gained a position with Forest Park Middle School and Unifirst of Atlanta. Mary's life revolved around helping her family. She was devoted to rearing her children and grandchildren. Even in these moments she lived life to the fullest. Mary enjoyed dancing, singing, having cookouts, and welcoming family and friends to celebrate life each day with her. Mary Frances was an outspoken woman. Although she was outspoken, she remained genuine and giving to those in need. There were times when she would give her last just to ensure the person in need would not go without. Mary never deterred from the lessons her mother instilled in her, she was a praying woman who did her best to instill those same values in her children. Mary Frances Sims was granted her angel wings on July 30, 2014. Mary's final days were spent surrounded by family and friends. Mary was preceded in death by her sister, Janice Neely (Stanley) and great-grandson, Jaidyn Clark. Mary leaves behind her three children: Tonya Sims, Gwendolyn Kendrick, and Sonya Sims. Mary also reared her grandchildren: Shanunda Robinson (Andrei), Christi Harris, and Grady Sims. Mrs. Mary Frances Sims leaves to cherish many loving memories and devoted time to her siblings: Brenda Freeman, Sandra Underwood, Ricky Burden, Tina Simmons, Ronnie Burden, Dovey Vinson, Brenda Kendrick, James Kendrick (Melissa), and Dwayne Kendrick; grandchildren: Techariah Kilpatrick (Kevin Jr.), Chrischariah Sims, Kevinetta Sims, Brianna Sims, Mercedes Sims, Bertrial Sims, Deantiny Sims, Isaiah Mitchell, J eramiah Mitchell, Elijah Mitchell, Noel Copeland, Malachi Sims, and Solomon Sims; sixteen great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends that will sorely miss her.
