In the early morning of Thursday, March 12, 2009, after a brief illness, Clark entered into eternal rest. Being a native of Lithonia, Clark affectionately known as Dink, attended Bruce Street School. Dink was employed as a Brick Mason and worked for several years at Hardeman Furniture Company in Decatur, Georgia. He was married to Barbara Ann Smith and to that union three children were born, daughters, Erica and La'Monica; son, Clark Mignon Sheppard. He later married Annie Reid. Dink was warmly regarded by his family and friends for being straightforward and mild mannered. He was true to whatever he did, and devoted his life to his family and friends; they were his pride and joy. In addition to his father, one sister, Sabrina and a grandson, Timothy Johnson, Jr. preceded him in death. He leaves to cherish his loving memories, wife Mrs. Annie Sheppard; mother, Mrs. Mary Sheppard, three children Mr. & Mrs. (Clinton) Erica Pulley, Mr. & Mrs. (Timothy) La'Monica Johnson; Mr. Clark Mignon Sheppard; eight siblings, Ms. Julia Sheppard-Baker, Mr. & Mrs. Ira Sheppard (Frances), Ms. Janelle Biggins, Mr. Lorenzo Sheppard, Mr. & Mrs. Wayne Sheppard (Deborah), Ms. Joyce McKibben, Mr. Kelvin Sheppard, and Mr. & Mrs. AI Sheppard (Yolunda); eight grandchildren, Clark Mignon Sheppard, Jr., Meshai Sheppard, Shemia Sheppard, Monterrio Daniel, Montavis Daniel, Ashley Sheppard, Alexus Sheppard and Timia Johnson; one aunt, Mrs. Maggie L. Smith; four sister-in-laws, Ms. Maggie Tuggle, Ms. Mary Smith, Mrs. Robin Sanders, and Ms. Ginger Scales; two brother-in-laws, Mr. James Reid and Mr. Johnny Reid; along with several, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and devoted friends.
