HOMEGOING CELEBRATION for Ashley "Bump" Senior Tuesday, May 20, 2014 1:00pm Powell Missionary Baptist Church Talbotton, GA Rev. K.A. Samuels, Pastor Elder Norman Taylor, Officiating Sunrise-November 17, 1947 Sunset-May 15, 2014 Bump got up early, went to the bathroom, and got back in his bed to prepare for his heavenly journey home. God saw that Bump was ready for Him to come and receive him into his bosom. He departed this earthly place on Thursday, May 15, 2014, at 10:15 a.m. Ashley Senior, aka Bump, was born the fourth child, and only son, of the late Mattie Lizzie Castleberry-Senior-Moffett-Howard, in Waverly Hall, Georgia (Talbot County). His grandparents, Ernest and Elizabeth (Lizzie) Castleberry raised him as their own. He joined Powell Baptist Church under the pastorate of Rev. W. W. Walker. Ashley received his primary and secondary education in Talbotton, Georgia, at Ruth Carter High School. He was a graduate of the Class of 1968. He served in the United States Army from June 1968 to January 1970, a Viet Nam veteran. Ashley's former employers were Orkin Exterminator, Columbus Foundry, and Leonard's Funeral Home. Ashley leaves precious memories with his five sisters: Adeline (Rene) Henderson of Columbus GA, Rubye (Sister) and spouse, Etheridge Marshall of Stone Mountain GA, Ethel (Renva) Fuller of Lithonia GA, Neva C. (Neni) Mobley of Talbotton GA , and Debra Moffett of Columbus GA; a special cousin-brother: Sterlin Robertson of Powder Springs GA; five nieces: Geretha Harris, Allison (Reginald) Givens, Wanneter, aka Wanda (Lee) Terrell, Wadette (Harry) White, and Cheryl Henderson: two nephews: Zachary Senior and Jeffery (Carmea) Fuller; four generations of great grand nieces and nephews: a special great grand niece Adeline (Monique) Cummings; three uncles: Norman, Stanley, and Roy Taylor, and one aunt, Bernadine Taylor. He also leaves to cherish his memories, best friends-cousins, Alex (Bubba) and John Favors, a devoted friend, George (Sonny) Carreker, and many other cousins, relatives, and friends.
