George Hugh Rivers, affectionately known as "Spoonkom" was born to Hattie Mae and the late George Washington Rivers in Warrenton, Georgia on November 8, 1945.

At an early age George moved to Atlanta Georgia. George retired from the Atlanta Typewriter Company after twenty-six years. After retiring he worked for the Business Equipment Center ofAtlanta for eight years. George was a loving father and grandfather. He w~s.a.n excellent cook and prided himself on his wonderful fishing abllttles. George was an example of discipline, compassion and faith for his children, grandchildren and his special niece Latashika Rivers.

Lewis Rivers (Hattie) all of Warrenton, GA, and two sisters, 
 
Brenda Rivers, Daisy Jackson (Larry) both of Warrenton, 
 
GA; Seven grandchildren: Y'Voris, Victoria, Qaishun, 
 
Dentravius, Akhairi, Qeion, Dentavius nephews, cousins and mournful friends.
