Dorothy Jessie Ritchie, known as Fernie, was born in New York City on November 1, 1923 to the late Sarah and Charles Ritchie. 
She was baptized at an early age. She was a faithful member of St. Philip's Episcopal Church, where she sang in the choir until her health failed her. 
She received and completed her education in the New York public school system. 
After graduating from high school, Fernie moved to Washington D.C., where she was employed at the Pentagon. Upon returning to New York, she met and married the late Robert Molyneaux. 
Fernie worked as a seamstress for many years tiDtil her retirement in 1985. 
She loved having family gatherings. 
She leaves a legacy of kindness, generous spirit, helpfulness, faith and love. 
Fernie leaves to cherish her loving memory: one sister, Florence Bolden; one brother, John Ritchie; a devoted niece, Linda (Charles) Jackson; nephews, Charles (Carole) Ritchie Jr. and Michael Ritchie; nieces, Dorothy (Alonzo) Towns and Beverly Maxfield; and a host of grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins and friends.
