Thus REV. CHARLES EDWARD PRESBERRY, SR., the only child born unto Isabelle Robinson, on June 16, 1930, the locale was Baltimore, Maryland. After a lengthy illness, he departed this life on February 6, 1995, at 5:35p.m., at the home of his beloved daughter, Margie. 
He attended Booker T. Washington Junior High School and Douglass Senior High School and Morgan State University. 
In 1950, he joined the United States Air Force, in which he served until1959. He was discharged with the rank of Saff Sergeant. 
Rev. Presberry joined the Baltimore City Police Department and worked out of the Western District Station. His main beat was Pennsylvania Avenue, in its Hey-Day. He received the medal ofbravery and two mayor's citation awards. 
In 1963, Rev. Presberry was appointed by the United States Department of Justice, he served as a United States Deputy Marshal. He was the second Black Marshal in the State of Maryland. 
He later became a Private Investigator, Equal Opportunity Officer and a Family Program Coordinator in Baltimore City. 
He re-entered the Military in 1965, under the command of General Charles W. Dykes. General Dykes taught him about people, life and himself. Rev. Presberry was stationed in Okinawa, Japan, where he developed a deep interest and genuine love for the Orient, a fluent speaker of Japanese, Chinese and Korean. He returned from his second Tour of Duty in 1981. He retired from the Army Reserve in 1990, as a W-4 Warrant Officer. 
Rev. Presberry was raised by a single parent in a home of reverence and Christian love. He attended the Bethel A.M.E. Church as a child. As a young man, he joined Douglas Memorial Community Church. 
In August 1974, he was licensed and ordained as a Baptist Minister, at the Zion Baptist Church, Hagerstown, Maryland and later served as Assistant Minister of Zion. In 1975, he became Pastor of the Camp Kuwae Gospel Chapel in Okinawa, Japan. As Pastor of Camp Kuwae Gospel Chapel, he was very instrumental in having the late Dr. Ralph Abernathy, Rev. Hosea Williams, Rev. Andrew Young, Rev. Otis Moss and Dr. C. L. Henderson. Rev. Presberry preached all over the country and Asia. On his return from Japan, he found the Concerned Black Clergy and served as Special Assistant to the President. He maintained his residency in Atlanta, Georgia, where he was an Assistant Pastor at Ben Hill Methodist Church. When visiting Baltimore, Rev. Presberry fellowshipped with Morning Star Baptist Church of Christ and Northwood Appold United Methodist Church. 
Rev. Presberry was employed as a Deputy Sheriff for the Fulton County Sheriff Department for the State of Georgia. 
Rev. Presberry attended Atlanta University and the Interdenominational Theological Center. 
At the age of sixty-two, the Rev. Presberry enrolled in Theological courses at Gammon Seminary. Although in poor health, he never gave up his goal of earning his doctoral degree. He became a dedicated Kappa member. 
As a father, he always taught his children about God, the importance ofattending church, manners and respect. 
He leaves to cherish his memory: four sons, Dana,_ Charles, Jr., Seigfried and Lloyd Presberry; three daughters, Angela M. Alexander, Margie Presberry-Young and Isabelle Presberry; five granddaughters; three grandsons; one great granddaughter; one son-in-law; three daughters-in-law; two devoted and dedicated friends, Margaret Wright of Columbia, Maryland and Naomi Brown of Atlanta, Georgia; and a host of friends in Atlanta, Georgia.
