Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free I'm following the path God has laid you see. 
I took His hand when I heard his call. I turned my back and left it all. I could not stay another day to laugh, to love, to work or play, 
Tasks left undone must stay that way I found the peace at the close of day. 
If my parting has left a void Then fill it with remembered joys. A friendship shared a laugh, a kiss Oh yes, these things I too will miss. .Be not burdened with times of sorrow I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow. My life's been full, I savored much Good friends, good times, a loved one's touc_h, Perhaps my time seemed all to brief. Don't lengthen it now with undue grief. Lift up your hearts, and peace too thee God wanted me now, He set me free.

 OBITUARY 
Lurlene D. Pitts was born March 19, 1921 in Crawford County (Roberta, GA) to the parentage of the late Mr. William Davison and Mrs. Mattie Raines Davison. 
She attended the public schools of Bibb County and was a graduate of Hudson High. 
She was a retired employee from Robins Air Force Base. 
Leaving to cherish her memories are: nieces, Essie M. Raines, Rosa M. Raines, Fannie Lou Washington, Addie Simmons, Dorothy L. Walker, Clevie M. Williams, Ann Pearson and Jacqueline Richardson; nephews, John C. Tripp and Ira Rose, Jr.; a devoted great niece, Linda Raines; a host of relatives and friends. Also, a very special friend, Mr. Charles Hoskins.

The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures; He leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul; He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake. Yea, though! walk through the valley ofthe shadow ofdeath, I will fear no evil, for thou art with me; Thy rodand thy staffthey comfort me.
