Perry was born October 6, 1925 in Meriwether County, Georgia He quietly departed this life Wednesday, August 16, 2000. He joined the Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church at an early age. He leaves to cherish his memories, one adopted son, Sgt. Hill, his loving mother, Gertrude Perry, four sisters, Mr. and Mrs. L. W. Travis (Girlee), Mr. and Mrs. Mathew Haynes (Cora), Mrs. Shirley Forts, Mr. and Mrs. Willie J. Mapp (Agnes), two brothers, Mack A. Perry, Mr. Edward Dobbs, two aunts, Mrs. Imogene Hughley, Mrs. Ruth Render; a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members. Thank You Perhaps you sent a lovely card, or sat quietly in a chair, Perhaps you sent a funeral spray, if so we saw it there. Perhaps you spoke the kindest words as any friend could say; Perhaps you were not there at all just thought of us that day. Whatever you did to console our hearts, we thank you.
