Frederick Pennix was born on December 14, 1954 and entered into eternal peace and was granted his angel wings on October 1, 2012. His final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that Fred touched in some ways during his life. A native of Greensboro, North Carolina, Fred gradated from Walter Hine Page High School in 1973. 
Shortly thereafter, he relocated to Atlanta, Georgia. In the early 90's, Fred began a long career driving trucks at Conway Southern Express. He enjoyed watching football and basketball in his spare time. Anyone who knew Fred knows he was a dedicated Carolina fan. 
Fred is survived by his four children: son, Benny Graves of Cherokee, NC (35), daughter, Meshia Michelle Pennix of Charlotte, NC (31), son, Steven Cunningham of Atlanta, GA (29), and daughter, Chastity Antoinette Pennix of Atlanta, GA (20). Also surviving are Fred's six siblings: Charles Tony and Kathy Pennix of Greensboro, NC, Michael and Virginia Pennix of Powder Springs, GA, Herman and Walter Mae Pennix of Greensboro, NC, Wanda "Kay Kay" and Samuel Edwards of Greensboro, NC, Gary Pennix of Greensboro, NC and Jamie Pennix of Greensboro, NC. He has (5) granddaughters and (2) grandsons. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lula Mae Pennix and brother, Melvin L. Pennix better known as "Big Butch." Frederick may have lost the battle with cancer, however, he didn't lose the battle with keeping friends and trying to treat everyone with great respect. God has decided that it is time to bring his son, Frederick, up with Him and to stop the suffering that he was going through on this earth to give ever lasting peace.
