.rr.. Slarg lltant, ~aughter of the late Oscar and Mary 
Johnson, was born January 7, 1900in Macon, Georgia. 
She received her education in Georgia, graduating from Lew High School. She confessed her faith in Christ at an early age and joined First Baptist Church, singing in the choir until she moved to Detroit in 1942. In Detroit, she became a member of New Light Baptist Church under the pastorate of the late Rev. A.M. Martin. 
In Detroit, Mary attended and graduated from the Fleming School of Cosmetology. After graduation, shebegan her own business, remaining in business until1978 when she retired. 
Mrs. Mary__?earce departed this life Sunday, September 28, 1980 in Ziegter Hospital. 
She leaves to mourn her passing and cherish her memory: one son, Robert Brown; two brothers, Henry Johnson of Macon, Georgia and Robert Johnson of Chicago, Illinois; two grandchildren, one great grandchild, nieces, nephews,other relatives and many friends.
