Wilborn, Officiating Mrs. Juliette Pearl White Partridge was the fourth of six children born to the late Mr. and Mrs. Julius Bartow and Eva Burley White, Sr. on July 4, 1918 in Atlanta, Georgia. She passed into eternal life on March 1, 2011. Five siblings: Evelyn White, Mrs. Rachel White Kendrick, Mrs. Nellie White Ricks, Mr. Julius Bartow White, Jr. and Mrs. Gloria Hutchins Searls preceded her in death. Julie was educated in Atlanta Public Schools: E. A. Ware Elementary and B.T. Washington High. She was joyfully united in marriage to the late Mr. James C. Partridge, Sr for 64 years. Three sons were born to this union: James Cary Qimmy), Julius Earl, and Gregory Emerson. James, Jimmy and Earl preceded her in death. Juliette was a faithful Christian. She was a member of Reed Street Baptist Church and Paradise Baptist Church, prior to joining Victory Baptist Church as a founding member. Julie was loving, virtuous, sweet, kind, smart, talented, creative, generous... Committed to civic responsibility, she actively participated in initiatives to strengthen her community, the Washington Park Historical Neighborhood. She was devoted to her husband James; her sons: Jimmy, Earl and Gregory; her daughter-in-law, Lucelia Flood-Partridge; her sisters, brother, sister-in-law, brothers-in-law; nieces, nephews, family, and friends. The Partridge home (where she lived for 70 years) was beautiful and welcoming, always filled with delicious food and special treats, joyfully created by Julie. Her living standard was excellence, which was reflected in all of her actions. Her quiet voice delivered wise words. Everyone, babies to the elderly, connected to her because of the gentleness and love that she exuded. She was a dedicated charter member of the Petite Matrons Social Club, the Atlanta-Monroe Chapter of the Phillip White Family Reunion, and the Booker T. Washington Class of 1936 Organization. Additional to the several offices she held in organizations, Julie assisted James in his role as treasurer by maintaining the financial records of the Esquire Social Club. Julie had two green thumbs, she enjoyed tending to plants and flowers in her yard and home. Her great-great nieces and nephews often referred to her side yard as a park. When their sons were young, she and James delighted in their automobile travels to visit family and friends in various states. She always enjoyed visiting Jimmy in Baltimore and her sister Gloria in California. Some of her most memorable trips were to Oahu and Kauai, Hawaii, the various locations of annual family reunions, SanJuan, Puerto Rico (to visit a lifelong friend), and a Caribbean Cruise with her beloved sister, Nellie. She enjoyed television newscasts and a Saturday morning gardening radio program. Julie cherished her relationships with her wonderful Washington Heights Terrace Neighbors. . Mrs. Juliette Pearl White Partridge was respected as her family's wise, loving, nurturing brain trust She leaves to cherish her memory her beloved son, Gregory Emerson Partridge; daughter-in-law, Lucelia Flood-Partridge; sister-in-law, Josephine Nichols White; aunt, Doris J. Partridge; nieces, Gail Kendrick (Don) Baker and Joyce RicksDrayton; nephew, Eric Von Hutchins; cousin, Mrs. Jacqueline Williams, many relatives and friends.
