Jackson, Pastor Officiating ''Jrr.cious ~rmorirs. '' Praise God for the life of our beloved Julia Francie Moreland who was born in Abbeville, South Carolina on December 9, 1921 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Jeter. Francie was the youngest of five daughters who was followed by two sons. Having a devoutly religious mother and father and having been reared in a Christian home and environment, Francie was trained from childhood in the ways of Christianity and love, especially in the love of her family. While still young and after her family moved to Atlanta, Georgia, Francie attended the Atlanta public schools and graduated from Washington High School with highest honors. As a devoted Christian, she was baptized at an early age and became a member of Lindsay Street Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend E. S. Swanson . She later moved her membership to Calvary Temple Baptist Church where Reverend George Harden was her pastor, and where Reverend James 0. Jackson is currently pastoring. Francie was loved as much as she loved, and she took that love that she had learned as a child into her adult life and subsequently into her marriage to the late William Xenophone Moreland. They were blessed with three wonderful sons who were followed by three beautiful daughters. Ironically, Francie's love for her family took her away from the family she loved on Sunday, September 21, 1997. While she went on to join her parents, two sisters, one brother, her beloved husband (Mr. William X. Moreland), and two of her beloved sons (Paul Clifton and Clayton Xenophone), she leaves to cherish her memory and carry on her legacy, one son, William Glenn Moreland; three daughters, Mrs. Ina C. Burke, Miss Mary E. Moreland, and Mrs. Melba A. Weems; two sisters, Mrs. Elsie Pierce and Mrs. Ida Belle Pitts; one brother, Mr. Edward Jeter; one goddaughter, Mrs. Gloria Goodson; eighteen grandchildren, thirty-one great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving and caring relatives and friends.
