Ecclesiastes 3:1 ?!Jif~ ~Ueiwas born to the late Harriet Louise Nunnally Smith and Hiram McDaniel, Sr., on April 5, 1935 in Atlanta, Georgia. Clifford was an original "Grady Baby." He departed this life January 20,2014. He was preceded in death by his parents. He received his formal edu cation at David T. Howard High School and formerly Clark College (presently Clark Atlanta University). Cliff accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at a very early age. He was a faithful child who loved the Lord. He and his family joined Ben Hill United Methodist Church in 1985. Prior to joining Ben Hill, the family were members of Wheat Street Baptist Church. At Ben Hill, Cliff served as Vice Chair of the Council on Ministries, Parliamentarian of the Administrative Board, member of the Finance Committee, the United Methodist Men, the Usher Board and a member of the Jewels and Partners. He was also a member of the PH Masons where he was a gold card Life Member. Cliff served as a proud member of the Armed Forces (U.S. Army) and was employed by the U.S. Postal Service for 26 years. He retired from the Postal Service in 1992. Cliff was a proud husband, father and grandfather who truly loved and relished every moment with his family. He is survived by his devoted wife of 54 years Vernelle Jones McDaniel; first born child, Sharon McDaniel; loving daughter, Letrice Gray (Terry); loving and devoted grandson, Daniel Clifford Wesley; sister-in-laws, Arline Griffin, Ruth Summerour and Carolyn Cudger; brother-inlaws, Lucius Jones (Gennette) and Jimmy Jones (Sharon); a dear cousin, Betty Jenkins and many nieces and nephews.
