II Corinthians 5:1 Earl Alphonse Landry was born January 13, 1924 in Belle Rose, LA to the late Corrine Williams Landry and Alphonse Landry. He was educated in the Belle Alliance School System. After serving in the Army and getting married he moved to New Orleans, LA. He lived in New Orleans for many years until Hurricane Katrina, at which time he moved to Birmingham, Alabama until his death on June 13,2006 He was employed by Orleans Parish School Board for over 30 years. He was a self-employed cab driver for ED's Cab Company for several years. Upon retiring from ED's Cab Company he owned and operated Landry's Limousine Service. He was united in holy matrimony to Mildred Julien, on March 8, 1945 and to this union they were blessed with three children. He was a devoted husband and father. He was baptized at Rose Hill Baptist Church, in Belle Rose, LA. After moving to New Orleans, he became a member of St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church formerly under the leadership of Reverend Chester and present leadership of Reverend Frank L. Lewis. He was a dutiful and faithful member and served on the Deacon Board, sang with the Male Choir and was Vice President of Usher Board #2. While in Birmingham he attended Sunday School at the Morning Star Baptist Church pastored by Reverend Lawrence Gaines, and fellowshipped at the New Beginning Full Gospel Church, under the leadership of Bishop Pyle until his health failed. In spite of his terminal illness and being displaced, he continued to acknowledge his faith in God and had a determined mind to live until the Lord called him from labor to reward. To cherish his memories, he leaves a loving and devoted wife of 62 years, Mildred Julien Landry; one son, James Earl Landry (Linda) of New Orleans, LA; two daughters Barbara Marie-LandryDavis of Albion, MI and Carol Ann Landry displaced to Birmingham, AL; one,adopted son Nathan White of Port Arthur, TX; three grandchildren Landrea Renee Davis of Redford, MI, Dr. Gia Marie Landry of Baltimore, MD an
