 OBITUARY 
Catherine Kirkland was born in Newark, New Jersey to Charlotte and the late John Rogers, Sr. 
She married Julian Kirkland in 1946, and through this union they were blessed with five daughters. The family moved to Linden in 1959. 
Catherine became a faithful member of Mount Holiness Baptist Church in 1953. 
She was a devoted wife and loving mother. She is fondly remembered by family and friends for her easy going manner and light-hearted spirit. 
To cherish her memory, she leaves - her devoted husband, Julian Kirkland; her mother, Charlotte Rogers McCauley, Reynold's Nursing Home; her sister, Sylvia Simmons of Newark, New Jersey; her daughters, Daeita Warren of Morris Plains, New Jersey, Anita Cooper of Atlanta, Georgia, Lolita Kirkland White of Durham, North Carolina, and Bonita Kirkland LaRue and Rosina Glover of Brooklyn, New York; stepdaughter, Julia Lowe of Piscataway, New Jersey; sixteen grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
