Jordan, Sr., was called to rest on Sunday morning October 22, 1989. He was born July 9, 1907 in Macon, Georgia. He grew up in the Duresville Community where he received his early educational experiences. Later, he matriculated at Georgia Baptist Institute in Macon, Georgia. He also attended Georgia State College in Savannah, Georgia. God has always been a positive force in his life~ therefore at an early age he connected himself with Duresvi lle Chapel. Later he joined St. Paul A.M.E. Church and served as an Usher for many years. He was a faithful member of St. Paul until his health failed. In October 1940, he married the late Ms. Ruth Louise Hinsley. To this union, one daughter, was born. The marriage lasted until Mrs. Jordan 1 S death in 1979. Mr. Jordan was a dedicated worker with the Central of Georgia Railroad where he held employment for 42 years. He leaves to mourn a daughter, Nancy 0. Jordan of Cincinnati, Ohio; Sisters, Mrs. Junia J. Fambro and Mrs. Carlena J. Hale of Macon, Ga.; A nephew Dr. George C. Hale, Sr. and a niece-in-law, Dr. Sarah T. Hale of Cincinnati, Ohio; a grand nephew George C. Hale, Jr. of Independence, Mo.; and a grand niece, Dr. Valerie E. Hale of Denver, Colorado; two devoted cousins, Mrs. Bertha Jackson and Ms. Evelyn Walker both of Macon, and a host of other relatives and friends. Mr. Jordan was a quiet, humble man who was always willing to help others in any capacity where needed. He will be missed by many relatives and friends. ORDER OF SERVICE REV. TERENCE R.
