THE PROMISES OF GOD SURELY SUSTAINED HIM 
The Late Deacon Willie Gus Johnson was the fifth of thirteen Children born to The Late Mr. Jam es Johnson , Sr. and The Late Mrs. Martha Belim Johnson. 
He was born in Iron City, Georgia, resided in Quincy, Florida for m os t of his childhood and left home at an early age. 
He served in Th e Unit ed States Army and earned an Honorable Discharge. 
He moved to Eatonville, Florida in 1939 and worked as a laborer and later as a landscaper with Fletcher Properties. 
He gave his life to God and received salvation in 195 1 und er the leadership of The Late Elder Wilson, at the Good Samaritan Church of God in Altamonte Springs, Fl. , where he was ordained as a Deacon. From there he was united with The Apostolic Church of J esus, Altamonte Springs, Fl. in the early Nineteen Sixties, under t he leadership of The Late Elder William Davis and The Late Elder Preston Rolle. He was very instrumental in the founding of The Apostolic Church of Jesus in Eatonville, Fl. , where he remained an active member until his health failed. 
Deacon Johnson was stricken with an untimely illness in 1981 and due to the nature of his illness had been a resident at Depugh Nursing Home ofWinter Park, Fl. from 1982 until his death on June 15, 1991. 
Surving Relatives include: A Loving and Devoted Wife , Missionary Laura Violet Johnson, Beloved Niece, Mrs. Helen C. Tomlinson and Husband, Arthur L., I, Orlando , Fl., Loving Nephew, Arthur L. Tomlinson , II , Eatonville , Fl. , One Brot~e r , Mr. Phillip Johnson , Sr. and Wife , Ruth, Eatonville , Fl. , Sisters.
