She was raised in Atlanta, Georgia near Perry Homes. The family later moved to Thomasville Drive in 1964, where many memones were created and forever cherished. Her education began at Thomasville Heights Elementary School and Sheila graduated from Fulton High School in 1977. On August 2, 2015, Sheila answered God's call and gave her life to Christ. Sheila was the oldest of her siblings; Cynthia and Johncey Jewell. She loved and enjoyed her R&B oldies and gospel music, cooking and caring for her grandchildren. Sheila was very protective of her children and helped to raise her grandchildren teaching them about life's values. She surely enjoyed being happy and joyful environments. She was a very funny person that loved to have a good time and enjoying being in the company of her friends. Sheila met the late Talbert Willis and was thankful that she met him. Together they raised and loved their two beautiful daughters, Latasha and Denise. She was affectionately known and will always be remembered as "Mommy Sheila", from her nephew, Jamaal and her daughters friends. Sheila was preceded in death by her mother, Doris Freeman Jewell; her love, Talbert Willis; and a host of aunts and uncles. Loving her forever and cherishing her memory; daughter, Latasha Jewell - Major (Miodini) and Denise Jewell; grandchildren, Michelle Jewell, Summer Rouse and Makhi Jewell-Taylor; father, John Jewell; sisters, Cynthia Jewell and Johncey Jewell; nephew, Jamaal Jewell; a devoted aunt, Willie Mae Stephens; and a host of devoted cousins and dear friends.
