She committed her life to Christ at Tabernacle Baptist under Reverend Dorsey. Mrs. Dorothy Jackson leaves to cherish her memories: daughter Dorethea Hackney of Stone Mountain, GA, brother Willie Callaway of Atlanta, GA, aunt Nannie Cox of Atlanta, GA and sister-in-law Myrtle Glaze ofAtlanta, GA along with a host ofcousins, nieces, and nephews and friends. Mrs. Dorothy Jackson was a long time employee of Dr. Jerome and Nancy Lynn before retiring in 2001 after 30 plus years ofservices. She was an accomplished cook and seamstress. She also enjoyed completing puzzles and watching television. She met many friends while traveling back and forth to work on the bus. She was kind, loving and charitable towards her family, friends and strangers especially children. She was known as "Granny" to many children when she resided in the East Lake. The family ofMrs. Jackson would like to express a debt of gratitude to her caregiver/nephew Michael Glaze, the staffofManor Care Nursing Facility and the staff of Dekalb Medical Center for their compassionate care given to Mrs. Jackson.
