Oh~ Mrs. Alberta Holmes Hutchins was born February 6, 1917 to the late Osborne and Emily Holmes in the Holmes Chapel Community in Clark County. She grew up and attended school in the Holmes Chapel Community. At an early age the family moved to Jacksonville, Florida. She later met and was united in matrimony to Robert Lee Hutchins. Into this union four children were born. Later the family moved to New York City. At an early age she joined the Little Rock Baptist Church in Jackson- ville, FL. Later she became a member of Eastside Church of Christ in Jacksonville. After moving to N.Y. she placed membership with the Washington Hts. Church of Christ where she was a faithful member until her retirement in 1979. After her return to Clinch County, she placed her membership with the Homerville Church of Christ and was a faithful member until her recent illness. She leaves to cherish her memory: her husband, Robert Lee Hutchins, Sr.; daughters, Elizabeth and husband Paul Mason of Hobbs, New Mexico, Gwendolyn and husband Floyd Bethea of Brandon, Florida; one son, Robert Lee, Jr. and wife Mary of Freemont, CA; daughter, Shirley Hutchins of Tampa, FL; 12 grandchildren; 2 sisters, Ms. Estelle Wilson of Brooklyn, NY, Ms. Mae Holmes of Rockaway Beach, NY; 4 sisters-in-law, Mrs. Eloise Denmark, Mrs. Alvesta Williams and Ms. Denq Hutchins of Jacksonville, FL and Mrs. Telitha Porter of Hollis, NY; one brother-in-law, Herman Port~r of Hollis, NY; aunts, Mrs. Nancy Dixon of Tampa, FL, Mrs. Pennie Holmes, and Mrs. Sarah Peterson of Homerville, Mrs. Geneva Brand, Philadelphia, PA, Mrs. Fannie Rose and Mrs. Allene Cunningham, Homerville, Mrs. Helen Williams of Gainesville, FL; 1 uncle, Evan Williams of Gainesville , FL; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and other relatives and friends. - A WONDEROUS GIFT - A mother is the gentle touch , The word, the smiling face .
