Ms. Mary Humphrey was born to the late Mr. Will and . Mrs. Hattie Humphrey on May 5, 1940. 
 
Mary attended Dixie Elementary .School, and graduated from R.L. Cousin in Covington, Ga. Her favorite subject was 
chemistry. 
 
At the age of thirteen, she joined Mt. Zion A.M.E. Church, and was a member of the choir. 
 
 In 1962 she moved to Detroit, Michigan, in 1969 Mary was hired at Chrysler, where she retired after thirty years of 
service. 
 
Mary joined Mt. Olive Baptist Church on August 30, 1981 under the ministry of Rev. Jack E. . Ealy. After her retirement she joined Mt. Olive Senior Usher Board, and served dearly. Mary was a member of the Willing Workers 
Club and se.rved as the Recording Secretary. 
 
Mary is survived by one brother, Mr. Cleveland 
 
Humphrey, of Covington, Georgia, a devoted niece, Mrs. 
 
Norma Jean Kitchens, Decatur, Georgia, one sister-in-law, 
 
Mrs. Annie Lois Humphrey, of Decatur, Georgia and dear 
 
friends Detroi~, 
 
Mrs. Earline Cummings and Mrs. Michigan, Mr. Ted Rankings, of 
 
Bertha Reid, of California, and a 
 
host of nieces and nephews. 
 
My journey is over now, I rest in peace It's hard to understand why things have to be. 
It's all part of his great plan. For God loves us all
