 Deacon Hulon Howard, Jr. was born November 4, 1946 in Jasper County to Mr. and Mrs. Hulon (Zona Bell) Howard, Sr., his sister Ms. Eva Mae Howard and his parents preceded him in death. 
Hulon attended Carrie H. Taylor Grade School, Shadydale, Georgja. He Joined Mt. Gilead Baptist Church of Eatonton, Georgia at a]) early age, and worl(ed until his health failed htm. 
While on this journey Deacon Howard was ordained in 1983 under the leadership of Rev. T.G. Giles at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church being touched by the spirit of God to play must c. 
Hulon gave the Lord all the Praise he was due. He was Vice President of the Senior Choir where he also played the drutn.s and also fo~ the Inspirationa1 Choir, he played bass gut tar. 
Deacon Howard sang with the Calvary Gospel Singers of Covington, Georgia, anCl then he went on to wall( into one of lits many gifts of playing the drums for the Welco1ne Travel.ers Gospel Singers of Covington, Georgta.

Mrs. Nellie Pitts Covington, Ga., and Mr. and Mrs. Micheal (Sally) Williams, Covington, Ga.; one brotlier, Mr. and Mrs. Comer (Evangelist Annette) Howard, Shadydale, Ga., and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends lil(e the Welcome Travelers, and Mr. Sylvester Belcher.
